Our Take

A detailed LEGO Icons display model of the classic Vespa 125 scooter, aimed squarely at adult builders and design enthusiasts rather than children. With over 1,100 pieces, it sits in LEGO's premium adult collector range alongside other lifestyle and nostalgia-focused sets, offering a substantial build experience and a handsome finished model for home display.

Key Features

1,106 pieces in total across the complete build

Finished model measures approximately 24 cm long and 16 cm tall

Includes a display stand with a nameplate for shelf or desk presentation

Features a removable seat revealing a small storage compartment, mirroring the real scooter

Functioning steering — the handlebars turn the front wheel

Detailed side mirror, mudguard, and chrome-effect exhaust elements recreate the Vespa's iconic silhouette

Our Verdict

Ideal for adult LEGO fans, Vespa admirers, or anyone seeking a considered, relaxed build that doubles as attractive shelf décor. Less compelling if you're primarily motivated by piece-count value or want something interactive. Gift-buyers should note it's genuinely best suited to someone who'll appreciate the display aspect.

What We Like

  • Genuinely satisfying, intermediate-level build with varied techniques that holds attention throughout
  • Finished model is display-worthy and recognisably faithful to the real Vespa's proportions
  • Nostalgic appeal is strong — makes a thoughtful gift for anyone with a fondness for Italian design or classic scooters

Things to Consider

  • At the typical retail price of around £90–£100, it feels slightly steep for just over 1,100 pieces compared with other Icons sets
  • The model is fairly fragile once built — not something to handle repeatedly or move around carelessly
  • Offers little playability; purely a display piece, so unsuitable as a gift for younger enthusiasts
  • Colour options are limited to a single pale green variant, which may not suit everyone's interior
