Our Take
A mid-sized LEGO Technic model of the Bugatti Bolide racing concept car, finished in a striking Agile Blue colourway. Set 42162 sits in the affordable end of the licensed Technic range at around £70, making it a reasonable entry point for older children and casual adult fans who want a recognisable supercar build without committing to a flagship-priced set. The build has a working W16 engine, steering and scissor doors. This model has now been retired so is no longer able to be ordered through the Lego website.
Key Features
Official Bugatti Bolide licence, replicating the track-only hypercar's distinctive low-slung silhouette
Agile Blue colour scheme with contrasting dark detailing across the bodywork
Includes a pullback motor mechanism for self-propelled rolling play
Recommended age range of 9 and above
Piece count sits in the low hundreds, making it a relatively quick build of a few hours
Minifigure-scale compatible proportions for display alongside other Technic vehicles
Our Verdict
A solid choice for a nine-to-twelve-year-old with an interest in supercars or motorsport who wants a satisfying but manageable weekend build. Adult collectors or seasoned Technic enthusiasts will likely find the complexity underwhelming and should consider the larger, more detailed Bugatti Bolide set instead.
