Our Take
A large-scale Playmobil dollshouse set aimed at children aged four and up, the Modern Mansion 70986 delivers a contemporary multi-room home with figures, furniture, and accessories included. It sits in the upper tier of Playmobil's City Life range, competing with similarly priced construction-style playsets rather than traditional fabric-covered dollshouses.
Key Features
Multi-storey modern mansion structure with open-front design for easy access to all rooms
Includes multiple Playmobil figures representing family members
Furnished rooms spanning living area, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom with themed accessories
Contemporary flat-roof architectural styling distinguishing it from Playmobil's older Victorian-influenced sets
Compatible with the wider City Life range, allowing additional sets and figures to be integrated
Smaller accessories such as crockery, food items, and bedding included for detailed role play
Our Verdict
A solid choice for Playmobil fans aged four to eight who already enjoy City Life sets or whose parents want something durable and expandable. Those seeking a traditional-looking dollshouse or a lower-cost entry point would be better served looking at competitors such as KidKraft or Lundby.
